Farmers’ markets are held in many places on weekends. One of the best farmers’ markets is the Dallas Farmers Market. It is located near the center of Dallas and is crowded with people, especially on weekends. The indoor market is open every day, but the outdoor market is only open on Saturdays and Sundays. There are also various stores around the market, making it fun to just walk around. In this article, I will introduce you to this very popular farmer’s market.
Dallas Farmers Market (inside)
Once you enter the indoor facility of the market, you will find many restaurants and grocery stores. Perhaps because it was just lunchtime when we visited, there were many people enjoying their meals. We came here after we had eaten, so we picked up some stores that looked like good places to buy souvenirs. On the left is a macaroon store, which also sold ice cream macarons. The middle one is a store selling Texas goods, perfect for finding souvenirs. On the right is a store selling candles and soaps, and the store smelled really good. Candles are $12 and hand soaps are $6, which is a little cheaper if you buy in bulk. This indoor facility is also open on weekdays, so if you want to shop slowly and avoid the crowds, weekdays are recommended.
The Shed (outside)
This is an outdoor facility where many stores are open. It’s fun just to look at the fruits, vegetables, sweets, and sundries. We were hungry, so we bought some boba milk tea. It was $5 for a cup of matcha milk tea and $1 for boba, making it $6. Perfect for drinking while walking. Some of the stores in the outdoor facilities seem to be run by individuals, and I don’t know if all of them accept credit cards, so I would recommend bringing cash with you.
Recommended stores around the market
This is a store that sells Texas goods and sundries. It sells different products than the Texas goods store located in the indoor area of the market, so be sure to check it out as well.
They sells home goods, clothes, and accessories. The store is spacious, and there are so many cute things. You’ll lose track of time when you look around.
This is a gardening store. It is located across the street from the market. If you like gardening, be sure to stop by.
Summary
It was Saturday when I visited this time, and the indoor facilities of the market were quite crowded. There were so many more stores than the ones I introduced this time, and I wasn’t able to take my time to look around all of them, so I would like to go back again.
